God, She/Her
My god has she pronouns
Because I expect her to care —
But she doesn’t.
My god uses she pronouns
Because she has been called sir
Since all this madness started.
My god is a transgender woman
Who made me in her image
The way she wished she was born
And now I have to tell her
With the mouth she gave me
With the voice I crafted on my own
Outside of her rules, outside of her crafting room
I have to tell god each day that
She was wrong, and it feels great
Knowing she understands
How I’m feeling, so well
Not even she can deny I am
Just like her.
