I Love You
I love you,
Is that
What you want me to tell you?
It’s true but it
Doesn’t help
Either of us, one bit–
Now does it?
Imagine,
Seeing the two of us together
The kind of
Spectacle we are–
How does anyone
See us
Walking and not
Gawk at the scene
The glory of god shining
Through lovers brightly adorned
Borrowing each others smiles, and love and
Pieces of each other’s hair and
Spit marking, smell soaking, particles floating–
I’m sorry if I am
Gross I just enjoy when your
Skin cells are in my nose
I don’t know what else to say
Besides I love you, you
Made me feel pressured to keep going
And now this is where we’re
Ending, so the poem goes.
