I’m One Of Those

I need someone as intense as me—

Or perhaps just someone who admires it about me.

I am not compromising anymore now that I am

Single.

I don’t need to turn down the heat on the pan

I don’t need nothing from no one.

I just want an audience.

Perhaps that’s what I’m really missing anyway that’s what

Has always made me feel lonely.

Some of us are meant to be

More attention seeking than others.

I am too intense not to be in focus.

I want a submissive that allows me

Independence that I can trust will always

Stay put and when I say it

Out loud or in a poem I go

“Oh no—

I’m one of those.”
