I am a fat trans person

I am always trying to lose weight

Fact:

I have never been to an lgbt event

Where I felt my size was welcome

Opinion:

If I did x, y and z— the weight would melt right off of me

Opinion:

People who have never had weight to lose

Often behave as if they have conquered obesity

On a daily basis.

Fact:

You can’t conquer obesity if you’ve never been obese.

Fact:

There are many kinds of obesity, with different stages and different manifestations for each individual

Fact:

Not everyone is the same

Fact:

Weight loss is treated as a simple equation where anyone who is unable to succeed is treated as if they aren’t really trying
