It just makes me sad how little men understand

Women’s issues, even when one of their own

Explains it to them.

Breasts are not simply fat

That you lose

When you starve.

Yes, women who lose weight

Often go down a cup size or two

But breast fat and breast tissue are

Separate. One has nerves and sensation

One doesn’t.

When you get breast cancer

It isn’t just some

Localized lump of fat cancer

It’s in the tissue and it has access to

The lymph nodes and

When breasts are removed

They do not grow back

Regardless of diet and exercise.

You might get fat—

But you will never grow back

Your breast tissue

Once it’s excised.

It’s just like

Jesus fucking Christ.

How sad is misogyny —

Men can’t even respect titties.
