Super 8 Brothel
I couldn’t bear
To hear the sounds
Of women being
Capitalized, monetized
I couldn’t stick around.
I drove about a hundred more
Miles.
I wouldn’t mind,
If it was legalized
So that maybe
They could be protected
In a court of law.
Sleep?
I could barely breathe
Listening to these women
Cut each other down
Trying to make themselves
The top girl around.
Who knew
Super 8’s had such thin walls
And such competition
In each room
Not enough tv sound
To drown out the
Rape of decency,
The most garish flaw
In human nature–
A lack of respect
For each other.
